Who Am I

Who Am I

I am a PhD student working at the Laboratoire d'Ecologie Alpine in Grenoble

About my work

My work focuses on the spatio-temporal dynamics of plants in the French Alps.

  • My first PhD axis involves developing a method that corrects the spatial and temporal biases of unstructured data to build time series.
  • The second part of my PhD is to describe plant temporal patterns over the last 30 years at species level in order to identify and characterise the winners and losers species across the French Alps
  • The third axis of my PhD is to focus on community/macroecological approaches to study how plant diversity shifted across the French Alps during the last 30 years. Using species accumulation curves, I will estimate the change in &alpha-, &beta- and &gamma-diversity across the French Alps in order to better understand the species trajectories along latitude and elevation gradients.
  • The last part of my thesis relies in identifying what are the causal effects of the temperature increases on both the species distribution and diversity indices in the French Alps. To answer this question, I will apply a causal inference framework to isolate and estimate the effect of the temperature.
  • This work be part of describing and understanding the current decline in biodiversity, by carrying out detection and attribution at species and community level.
